Welcome to QueerNördarna! We are an organization working to secure LGBTQIA+ people’s place in gaming culture.

You can become a member in QueerNördarna using Sverok’s membership management system, eBas:
When you register, you may choose to join one of our chapters:
- Young QueerNerds (focus on members under 26 years of age)
- QueerNördarna Stockholm
- QueerNördarna West
- QueerNördarna Jönköping
- QueerNördarna North
A member in one of our chapters is automatically also a member of the head organization QueerNördarna. If you want to join more than one chapter, you’ll need to fill out the form again – once for each chapter.
Our events
QueerNördarna hosts events in several parts of the country, as well as online.
Queer and Nerdy Stockholm
QueerNördarna Stockholm and Young QueerNerds host gaming meetups every other week in Sverok’s venue in Kristineberg. We hang out, chat about nerdy stuff and play board games. Sometimes we have special themes, like role-playing games or arts and crafts.
Practical info about Queer and Nerdy Stockholm
When? – Friday evenings on even week numbers, 18.00 – 23.00. Free snacks and coffee/tea at 21.15
Where? – Lidnersgatan 10, Stockholm. Nearest subway station is Kristineberg
How? – Show up! As long as you follow our rules, you’re welcome. We always have a host to make sure everyone feels welcome, especially newcomers. If you’re hesitant about going without knowing anyone, write in our channel on Discord or send a message to our Facebook group, and we’ll make sure someone knows to expect you!
Price? – The events are completely free! We do sometimes charge for snacks, but most of the time that’s free too.
Rules? – The short version is: Be nice, respect everyone’s pronouns, and clean up after yourself; this helps us make sure the events are fun for everyone. No queerphobia, fascism, alcohol or drugs. No citrus fruits or nuts are allowed in the venue.
Finding Queer and Nerdy Stockholm
Finding the venue for the first time can be a little tricky. We’ve filmed a video guide to make it easier! The subtitles are in Swedish, but it shows the way visually.
QueerNördarna West
Our chapter arranges book circles and other nerdy meetups along the west coast, generally around Gothenburg. Further information about our events can be found in our very own discord (link).
QueerNördarna’s discord
We have a discord server for our organization, where you’re free to discuss anything and everything that you’re interested in! We also use it to share information, plan events, and play games together. We have a Minecraft server where some of us play together, and you’re free to join if you’d like!
QueerCon 2026
We have our own convention – QueerCon – during Stockholm Pride 2026. It is organized by QueerNördarna, Studiefrämjandet Mälardalen and Mäster Olofsgården.
QueerCon 2026 will take place in Mäster Olofsgården in Gamla Stan, from July 30th-31st.
